Barely three weeks old, the site has already attracted nearly 2000 followers and numbers are growing rapidly as fans in the county share its content.
With Yorkshire Day just around the corner on August 1st, and with the eyes of the world turning towards Yorkshire in preparation for the Grand Depart of the Tour de France next summer, it seems that Yorkshire pride is on the rise.
Barrow says: "No other sense of humour anywhere in the world is even similar to that found in Yorkshire. Historically, often rooted in misery and hardship, the stoicism and fortitude of Yorkshire's people was often reflected in a dry and biting way of looking at the world and of surviving dreadful living and working conditions.

"Much of the humour in Yorkshire is found in the form of anecdotes and quotes with the occasional joke thrown in but it is unlikely to result in a belly laugh because your typical Yorkshire person tends to keep their feelings hidden."Subjects more often than not include work, particularly manual work like farming and mining, family, drink, food, and reserved for particularly acerbic wit are religion and Southerners.
"The idea of the Facebook page is simply for us Yorkshire folk to share the things that amuse us."

A visitor arrives in Bradford but can't remember the local newspaper he enjoyed reading last time he was there. He tells the young newsagent: "I think it started with a T..."
"Well yer daft bugger," says the lad, "It could be T'Advertiser, T'Argus or T'Observer!"
