Improving Your Web Marketing Strategies Today - Maynas Eric

If you are searching for information about marketing on the Internet in a simple to read format, then the following article is a great starting point. You will reward about some great marketing strategies and some helpful tips that are simple to follow and easy to incorporate into your own business.

In your online advertising, use words such as ?special edition? or ?limited edition?. These phrases make it seem as though the items you are advertising are exclusive and only available for a limited time. These marketing techniques sometimes induce consumers to buy products.

A blog can bring your site higher traffic. It is vital that you keep your content fresh by posting on a regular basis. People are far more likely to revisit your site if they realize that they will see new content each time they view it.

TIP! Psychology research reports involving Internet marketing and website design may be worth your time to read. These psychological responses can greatly influence the way that site visitors connect with your brand.

Eye-catching graphics are an effective way to bring attention to the products and services on your website. Clients generally like to be able to see the product in detail so that they know what they are getting. Give your customers the option of sending in photos they?ve taken of your products. A ?Before & After? picture section is also very effective.

Internet promotion serves the ultimate purpose of problem recognition and solution. If you know how to start your business you will be better off. If you can resolve a problem for someone, he will purchase from you and let others know about it. That is just what you want to happen.

Direct marketing can also work if you know who to target and what they are looking for. Contact your customers by email, phone, or fax to tell them about services and specials. A lot of the information that is helpful to you can be found in the yellow pages, both online as well as the actual hard copy.

TIP! Studying HTML tagging procedure can enable you to employ more effective tags. HTML tags tell the search engine that this content is important.

Attract visitors to your site by offering up a valuable and relevant feature or service. Offer quality information such as articles, videos, pictures, podcasts, games and anything else your audience might be interested in. Providing a unique offer will get people excited about your site.

Consider customizing your site for different global locations. To do this, translate your website into several different languages so that it is understandable to a much broader range of people. This is a potent approach to increase global sales. A customer is more likely to purchase from your site if they can read it in their own language.

Post your customer?s comments in the comments section of your website. People enjoy reading what others have written about any product they are considering. This produces a sense of comfort for your customer, and ordering your product is more likely.

TIP! Be certain that the format of your website provides easily found links. Doing so will help visitors navigate your website, as your material will be simple to view and easy to manage.

It is important to research how people feel about your product or brand, specifically if you are promoting an online event or sale. As soon as you?ve initiated an online promotion or event, be sure to monitor the responses of people on forums and blogs. Once you see the feedback, use it to tweak your promotions and give the customers what they want.

Give something away to those visiting your website. A lot of people might be interested in getting a article on download. Homeowners may appreciate an article on home improvement tips if construction is your line of work. This can build credibility with your customers and let them see that you value their time.

A great Online marketing strategy is to create what is known as the customer relationship management database, or CRM. You can then use this database to identify who your customers are and what their purchase histories entail. You can use this to customize each communication with the customer that shows only things that they might be interested which helps them to purchase additional items.

TIP! When marketing your product, it is important that you have a FAQ. Offer answers about your products and solutions that will help.

You need to provide a portal for your visitors to interact with one another. This will give your website a friendlier feel as opposed to a place where they must send an email and wait for a reply. A forum gives you the opportunity to learn from your customers while allowing users to make important business contacts.

On your site, utilize lots of words that are rich and descriptive. People like adjectives, so use plenty of them throughout your site. Creatively use adjectives to surprise and impress visitors to your site. You should give them the desire to visit your website for your content!

Affiliate marketing differs from other types of marketing in some distinct ways. For instance: Search engines may stop focusing on title tags. If this happens, it will benefit you to put a lot of effort into something else, like a video marketing campaign that will reach a large viral audience.

TIP! Take a close examination of the quality of your company?s product or service. No amount of marketing can change a product that is faulty or otherwise inferior.

You should be very careful about the information you are giving customers when you are marketing a small business. Make your content useful and original. It is important to keep your site updated so that users will always have the newest information about your business.

Always have fresh, current content available on your site. Old material is of little use in these fast paced times. So, new content is king to both casual visitors to your site and to the search engine algorithms, which determine your ranking in the listings. Readers are attracted to a website that is updated frequently and easy to use.

Try thinking about what it is that your customers and possible customers expect when they arrive at your site. If you can provide what they want, your efforts will pay off tenfold. As well, ask people their real feelings about your website. Ask friends or family members about some of the things that you can improve. Make sure you do your research and develop a good website that your target audience will find enjoyable.

TIP! Think about using words such as ?simple? and ?easy? to describe your online marketing plans. Sometimes people can think that the products on your site are complicated, so when you add ?easy to use? people are more likely to buy these type of products.

In conclusion, these tips can help you begin with website marketing. We hope that you not only were able to learn something, but also will be able to apply it. It?s the type of advice that can not only build your brand, but also increase your profits.

Leading a nonprofit 14: working with outside communities and ...

This is my fourteenth installment in a series on leading a nonprofit (see my Guide to Effective Job Search and Career Development ? 2, postings 267-279 for Parts 1-13.)

When someone sits down to write about business practices and best practices approaches, there is always a measure of leeway as to what they would see as most important and most pertinent to address. There is also a significant amount of leeway available in selecting and presenting advice as to the issues and processes chosen for discussion. That definitely applies for my writing and for this blog, and I add for professional talks I have given. My own hands-on experience and an awareness of context guide my selection process and determine what I focus on and prioritize too. And I simply add to round this out, that how we decide and what we decide on for this this is largely shaped by what we have seen work, or not. That same filtering and selecting process, I contend, applies to every business writer. And this series fits that pattern too.

Nevertheless, I would argue that the topic of this posting is, or at least should be crucial for inclusion by anyone who would address leadership in the nonprofit sector. And I begin explaining that and writing this posting by referring to the absolute essentials as to what a nonprofit is as a legally defined business entity, and in its operational practices in fulfilling those requirements.

? Nonprofits as a matter of statutory requirement are business organizations that devote at least a large mandated minimum percentage of their incoming revenue towards their mission and vision, and with only the fraction left over after that allowed to go toward administrative and operation expenses, marketing and so on.
? Benefits created by the nonprofit and its activities rarely directly go back to those who provide this incoming revenue stream. Value comes in from one group and goes out to benefit the needs of others.
? And this incoming revenue stream is derived essentially entirely from the discretionary income of its donors.

This all adds up to a single, crucial point: nonprofits depend entirely upon outside communities that they bring together as support structures and enablers. And one of the core responsibilities of the leader of a nonprofit is to help organize and involve this outside supportive community and its members to get them actively involved, and to help keep them so involved too. Most of what I have been writing in this series has involved working within the organization as an executive officer, and with the board of directors. Here, I turn outward and look to the role of the nonprofit CEO as they reach out to the world as a whole.

? This means connecting with and working with members of the donating community and certainly with higher level donors and with those who could help them network to potential high-level donors.
? This means reaching out to the press and to reporters and others who would convey the nonprofit?s story.
? This means setting a positive example as a high visibility spokesperson of the nonprofit and its mission and vision.
? And ultimately, this is what makes leading a nonprofit a 24/7 job. As a nonprofit?s leader you can never really be off-duty and certainly where ever and whenever you are facing any members of the public.

Nonprofit leaders represent their organizations as public speakers and at conferences and meetings, through formal and informal interviews, on social media sites and in text and through visually oriented channels such as YouTube and more. And in this, selecting where and how to reach out and connect cannot entirely be limited to the nonprofit leader?s own personal preferences. As a leader you have to reach out through the channels that the people you seek to connect with prefer. Eloquence shared in an empty room is not eloquent.

There is a lot to this posting and to the points raised in it, and certainly when it is fleshed out in the real-world, day-to-day details of executive performance and follow-through. It is imperative that the nonprofit leader not simply seek to do all of this as a solo effort and as if in a vacuum. They should work on this community-facing activity in close collaboration with members of their in-house team and in Marketing and Communications and Fundraising and other services, and with their Board:

? In setting goals and priorities and deciding what channels and messages to focus on,
? In capturing unexpected opportunities to reach out and communicate and connect,
? And for offering a more effective, consistent message that will really resonate with the audiences reached.
? And this has to be viewed as an ongoing and continually evolving responsibility, and whether or not pursuing it is considered a challenge or a source of joy. I add it is a lot easier to sustain this if you enjoy it though.

I am going to turn to consider change in my next series installment, and the role of a nonprofit?s leadership in preparing for and responding to it, and in leading effective change. Meanwhile, you can find this and related postings at my Guide to Effective Job Search and Career Development ? 2. I have also posted extensively on jobs and careers-related topics in my first Guide directory page on Job Search and Career Development. review, small business, marketing, advertising

Are you a small business owner reviewing the state of your business at the end of the year??Take few minutes to assess how much time and effort you have spent in the last year in the following areas.

If you have a website or online presence for your business, then it is our thinking that you should give it a good bit of thought of where you stand and what you want to focus on for the next year.

Marketing

  • Social Media presence and engagement ? Social media presence such as facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest can benefit your business to bring direct or indirect revenue to your business.
  • Email Marketing offers a very inexpensive way to communicate and keep in touch with your potential customers or existing customers
  • Inbound Marketing ? set up blog and write blog articles that are relevant for your business and your customer base.

Advertising

  • Paid ? Getting the word about your business through paid online advertisements can be very costly if you do not watch your week to week spending and do not measure the returns carefully.
  • SEO/SEM ? With an efficient and targeted search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) you can achieve very good rank in organic search results.

Technology Changes

  • Mobile ? Mobile devices are everywhere. Make sure that your website renders properly in the mobile web browsers on smart phones and tablets such as iPad. If you happen to have Flash enabled on your website then it is a good time to either remove it or find alternative way to represent your website.

?

Plan for the next year
Create a scorecard and create a plan to spend time and resources to make improvements for your business in the above areas. We suggest that you review this scorecard every quarter and make necessary improvements based on your progress and needs of your business and your customers.

'Molecular levers' may make materials better

Dec. 23, 2012 ? In a forced game of molecular tug-of war, some strings of atoms can act like a lever, accelerating reactions 1000 times faster than other molecules. The discovery suggests that scientists could use these molecular levers to drive chemical and mechanical reactivity among atoms and ultimately engineer more efficient materials.

"We are interested in designing new, stress-responsive materials, so we are trying to develop reactions that are very slow normally but that can be accelerated efficiently by force," said Duke chemist Steve Craig, who headed the research.

In recent experiments, Craig and his team found that a molecule made with a polynorbornene backbone can act as a lever to open a ring embedded within the molecule 1000 times faster than a similar ring being tugged at on a polybutadiene scaffold. The results, which appear Dec. 23 in Nature Chemistry, suggest that a simple change in the backbone may affect the how fast mechanically assisted reactions occur.

Scientists are interested in this type of molecular tug-of-war because many materials break down after repeated cycles of tugging, stress and other forces. "If we can channel usually destructive forces into constructive pathways, we could trigger reactions that make the material stronger when and where it is most useful," Craig said. Researchers might then be able to extend the material's lifetime, which might in the long term have applications ranging from composites for airplane frames to biomedical implants.

In the experiment, Craig, who is a professor and chair of the chemistry department, and his team used the equivalent of microscopic tweezers to grab onto two parts of atomic chains and pulled them so that they would break open, or react, in certain spots. The team predicted that one molecule would react more efficiently than the other but was surprised to find that the force-induced rates differed by three orders of magnitude, an amount that suggests that the polynorbornene backbone can actually accelerate forced reactions the way a crowbar quickens pulling a nail from a wall.

Craig said changes to the molecular group undergoing the reaction may have a much smaller effect than changes to nearby, unreactive molecules like those on the backbone. It is also a good starting point to identify other molecular backbones that are easy to make and have the largest response to changes in nearby reactions, features Craig said might help in developing even better, more responsive materials.

The research was supported by the U.S. Army Research Laboratory, the Army Research Office and National Science Foundation.

Vieira Beats The Best Wall Street Analysts by One Thousand Miles. Quite frankly If I was a Wall Street analyst I would be ashamed. They are a complete disgrace. I could discuss here one thousand examples, however I am going to refer to this very recent case on Research in Motion (RIMM).

While Wall Street analysts have been occupied upgrading the stock at the top, Vieira who called the bottom at $6.3 buying the most, recommended to dump 500,000 shares at $14.02, reversing to the short side. How about that?

Yesterday, Research in Motion (RIMM) announced earnings seeing a sharp reversal after-hours. While today everyone is speculating on the reasons for this 18% plunge overnight, they forget to mention it?s all about Vieira!?Do you remember Why Did Apple stock Crash? It?s All about Vieira!

Business Insider announced the 36 Best Wall Street Analysts on this article?. This is food for dog! Do you really believe these folks make serious money trading? it?s laughable.

When Vieira tells you to neglect Wall Street analysts on Apple he knows something no one else knows! After all they were all pumping Apple at $700 downgrading it at $500! Should you trust Wall Street analysts? Of course they are not equal, some might be good but compared to Vieira, they are amateurs trying to predict the next move on the stock market. Vieira is the maestro playing the music while Wall Street analysts and retail investors dance in the dark.?

?

Unfortunately Steve Jobs is gone, but we have a better one in Stock Market Trading: Vieira! He bet against Apple but only after Jobs is gone, Vieira Billionaire Trade Call Causes Apple Stock Crash.

I would seriously consider How to Become a Millionaire Trading Stocks unless you love working for someone?s else. Maybe you are a member of the crowd! In that case there?s no place for you on Vieira?s services.

Solar cells can stick to phones, windows

12 hrs.

Business cards, cellphones and windows could all get a little boost from a sticky new invention. Researchers have created thin, flexible solar cells that can stick to paper, plastic, glass and many other materials, just by using double-sided tape.

"Now you can put them on helmets, cellphones, convex windows, portable electronic devices, curved roofs, clothing ? virtually anything," Xiaolin Zheng, a mechanical engineer at Stanford University who led the development of the new solar cells,?said in a statement.

The cells are a step toward turning more and more everyday items into either electronics or solar power-harvesting surfaces.?Solar cells placed on windows?could help a building absorb more solar power than roof installations alone, for example. And a combination of flexible solar panels and electronics could lead to products such as?electrified "smart" clothes?that control a connected smartphone.

Zheng and her team's creation may help smart clothes come a little sooner, too. The techniques they used could help engineers make flexible circuits, transistors, liquid crystal displays and other electronics, the researchers say.

Solar panels currently in use must have a glass or silicon backing, so they're necessarily rigid. But researchers in several labs are trying to change that. Other efforts TechNewsDaily has covered include?solar cells printed on paper?and a kind of?solar power glitter.

Zheng and her team's invention, which they've called the peel-and-stick process, gets around one major difficulty in making flexible solar cells: manufacturing the solar cells onto a non-rigid surface. In the peel-and-stick process, thin-film solar cells are still manufactured on a stiff, silicon wafer. But, in a major difference, the wafer is covered in nickel, which makes Zhang's process possible.

Once the thin-film solar cell is ready, researchers soak it in room-temperature water. The water molecules get between the nickel and the silicon, so that, eventually, researchers can peel the solar cell away from the rigid wafer. Then it's just a matter of adding some double-sided tape or another adhesive to stick the thin-film solar cell anywhere users want.

The solar cells don't lose any of their 7.5-percent efficiency after being peeled from their silicon backing and stuck somewhere else, Zheng said. The silicon backing often may be reused to make more solar cells.

Zheng and her colleagues?published a paper?about their work Dec. 20 in the journal Scientific Reports.
