The International Language and Development Conference will return to Sub-Saharan Africa. This is for the second time that this prestigious meeting will be held in this region, since its inception in 1993. Organisers said, ?The 10th in the series will take place in Cape Town, South Africa from 15-17 October 2013 at the Lagoon Beach Hotel.

They added that, ?The International Language and Development conferences have been held every two years since 1993, except for 2007, and bring together professionals and practitioners who are interested in the role languages play in development work.

?The 10th Conference in the series will be only the second to be convened in Sub-Saharan Africa. It will coincide with reviews of progress towards the eight United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by development professionals and policymakers worldwide as the 2015 MDG deadline approaches.?
